We are all told, “live your life to the fullest”; I am here to do just that. Alison M Rand serves as a vessel to project my passions, and clue in my loyal readers as to what inspires me in this crazy world. So, sit back, relax, and read on.
My husband and I married in 2002. I always knew I wanted to adopt children. And I always knew I wanted to stay home and raise the kids. On my first date with my husband, I asked if he wanted adopted kids. Not your typical first date conversation. Two years after that first date, we said, “I do.”
I was born and raised in Maine. In my young twenties I was a flight attendant and soon fell in love with Arizona through my travels there. Once we married it wasn’t long before we were looking to set out on a new adventure. We made the move to Phoenix, AZ within our first year of marriage. We went from the 4 season state of Maine to what we call a 2 season state of Arizona. We fell in love with the desert and knew this would be where they would raise their family.
We have two children. We adopted our children when they were 25 months and 21 months old from China. Our adoption journey has been unique. We threw out what others have told us what we should do around adoption, education and parenting.
I focus on love being at the center of our family. As I homeschool my children, I love seeing them learn and finding their way in this world. Finding their passion and seeing them share their gifts with others. I focus on love and I believe Love Shapes a Family!
We have a very relaxed home life. We all have a voice and can share without fear. I want to create a safe space that my children have loving memories and allow all the hard discussions to be had in a safe environment. We celebrate where our children are at and help them flourish at their pace.
Through my years of parenting I have enjoyed helping other mothers focus on love being at the center of their family. Creating a heart centered connection.
Speaking about Adoption, Parenting and/or Family nutrition has been such a wonderful way to give back. Whether I am sharing some of my journey on a podcast, on radio, or even as an author has been so rewarding.

Our Day Starts and Stops With Organic Nutrition
As a mom I am always looking for ways to support myself and my family. Finding easy ways to incorporate healthy habits is key. Finding on the go options is my favorite. Fueling our stomach and fueling our spirit each day.
"I had the privilege of meeting Alison and her two children. And watching her with these children has been a very unique experience. Most people I see with adopted children seem to think that the kids are better off because now they grow up in a privileged setting. I think it's rare to see parents with adopted children that take the type of care to a new level of the mind and spirit. I am inspired by the fact she has helped them with the complexities of life and relationships. Her highly relational style of parenting I feel at the end of the day is going to give those kids the foundation they need to have a happy and abundantly rich lives."
